MVA John J Williams Hwy - Townsend Rd

The Millsboro Fire Company responded to a MVA on John L. Williams Hwy near the intersection of Townsend Rd. EMS crews arrived to report a two vehicle collision with one occupant trapped. EMS Tommy Berry request Millsboro Rescue crew remove the roof, both doors, and do a dash displacement. Rescue 83 arrived along with Sussex County Paramedics to begin extrication and patient care. Assistant Chief Matt Warrington handled extrication of the trapped occupant. SCEMS attended the second vehicle which they packaged and removed the patient for transport by ground. With extrication complete the trapped patient was flown by DSP Aviation for further treatment. Traffic control was handled by DELDot which was on scene upon arrival. Chief Gum was On Scene Command.
