MVA Overturned Vehicle - Patriots Way near Veterans Cemetery

The Millsboro Fire Company was called to a MVA on Patriots Way north of Millsboro. Upon arriving it was discovered that a pickup had ran off the road, thru a chain link fence and was resting on its side. The driver and only occupant was partially trapped under the vehicle as it rested on the passenger side. Rescue crews stabilized the vehicle while EMS personnel from SCEMS treated the occupant. Airbags were deployed to lift the vehicle and hydraulic tools were used to remove the occupant. DSP Aviation was brought to the scene for transport while engine 83-2 provided a landing zone. Traffic was diverted by Millsboro Fire Police.
