Vehicle fire with exposure - Godwin St.
Saturday, October 11, 2008
The Millsboro Fire Co. responded to a vehicle fire with exposure to a house approximately six feet away. The owner had been attempting to drain gasoline by drilling a hole in the gas tank. Once the hole was drilled, a fire was ignited by the leaking gasoline. Garden hoses were used to try and contain the blaze until the fire company arrived. Engine 83-4 arrived and with CAFS line in service, quickly contained the fire. Foam continued to be applied due to leaking gasoline from the tank. The house sustained no damage.
