House Fire - Indian Meadows

At 0519 hrs., the Millsboro and Indian River Fire Companies were dispatched for a house fire at the above location. 83 command (15) arrived on scene to find the residence well involved, with fire venting from the roof. Crews made an interior attack but were forced out due to the roof failing. The ladder pipe was then placed in service to knock down the bulk of the fire before crews were able to re enter the structure and extinguish the remaining fire. The Georgetown and Dagsboro Fire Companies were also requested to assist at the scene and the Gumboro Fire Company was requested to cover Millsboro's district during the alarm.
